What’s the Best Adrenal Fatigue Treatment So I Can Get My Life Back?
Lately, I’ve noticed a startling trend amongst my colleagues. It seems that everyone is “always tired” all of a sudden. Was it always like this and I hadn’t noticed? Have I noticed because I no longer feel tired all of the time? As a former sufferer of adrenal fatigue, I thought I’d share my findings for the best adrenal fatigue treatment so my friends and colleagues can get their collective lives back and no longer feel like vampires!
What are the causes of adrenal fatigue? Like many people across the United States, we are constantly being bombarded with negative news twenty-four hours a day regarding the economy, global warming and joblessness/unemployment. For the groups that still have a job, they’ve put in an increasing amount of overtime hours to avoid the unemployment line. They’ve also “accepted” additional duties to pick up the slack from the employees that are no longer with the company.
Another possible reason for adrenal fatigue is the eating habits associated with the aforementioned “busy bee” lifestyles. Microwave diet habits are also contributing to the feelings of constant physical exhaustion. Diets high in sugar and refined carbohydrates are the main cause of adrenal fatigue. Sugar includes honey, maple syrup, fructose, dried fruit, fruit juice and just about anything that is sweet. Refined carbohydrates are grains that have been ground up or have had the bran removed. This include products like bread even whole wheat bread, noodles, corn chips, white rice and pretty much anything that comes in a package. It’s much easier to microwave your food quickly and eat at your desk to remain “productive.”
The added stress that a person takes on can reveal these symptoms of adrenal fatigue. It’s not football season yet, but you’ve begun to notice that it is easier to gain weight around your midsection. Do you also find that the alarm clock goes off too early in the morning? It seems like you just set the timer thirty minutes ago and it’s already morning! If this describes you, it may be increasingly difficult to get out of the bed in the morning. It doesn’t matter how often you hit the snooze button, you are still tired! Lastly, do you notice that you’ve become irritable lately? Are you constantly depressed and see no end in sight? These are but a few of the symptoms to be aware of if you are overtaxing your adrenal glands.
Enough of the doom and gloom already! How can we treat these issues to get our collective lives back? Healing begins by strengthening our body especially the adrenal glands. Once you get started, it’s not hard to build yourself back up physically with healthy eating, vitamin and minerals supplements (especially vitamin C, B complex and fish oil), rest and relaxation, light exercise, DHEA and adrenal glandular supplementation. The key is getting started and becoming accountable to these actions to build your consistency. I’ve found it is much harder to get started and stop shortly afterwards. It’s the familiar song of those that attempt to lose weight for their New Year’s Resolution.
Always remember that your body is the best communicator. I still challenge myself to listen to my body when my mind forces me to keep going. It’s always in hindsight that I remember the rest I eventually took made me more productive. Keeping a routine that includes a healthy diet, regular exercise and a commitment to rest are some of the best adrenal fatigue treatments and makes you a stronger candidate to face the next day!
